ALDI Ambiano Pressure Cooker Recall

10/15/2025 |

Modern pressure cookers are a convenient way to prepare meals. They use steam and pressure inside a sealed pot to quickly cook food that tastes like it has been slow-cooked for hours.

While millions of Americans use these new electric pressure cookers, they can cause severe injuries if defective.  On October 9, 2025, Tempo USA issued a recall of approximately 46,000 pressure cookers sold at ALDI due to a risk of burn injuries to users.

If a defective ALDI pressure cooker has injured you, you may be entitled to recover significant compensation for your damages. Claims based on faulty or dangerous products are considered product liability claims, which can be complex and challenging to prove. You need the assistance of an experienced product liability lawyer to help you secure maximum compensation for your injuries.

At Meyers & Flowers Trial Attorneys, our product liability lawyers in Chicago have a proven record of success, having secured billions of dollars in compensation for our clients. We are committed to protecting your rights and helping you recover the full compensation you are entitled to.

Schedule a free consultation to discuss your claim by calling (630) 394-5189 or by completing a short form on our contact page.

Which Pressure Cookers Have Been Recalled?

The recalled products are Ambiano pressure cookers, sold at ALDI stores nationwide in six-quart and eight-quart sizes between January 2016 and December 2019 for approximately $40. They have the Ambiano name on the front of the unit. They also have a product label on the bottom of the unit, displaying the Ambiano name and model number.

The recall affects units with the following model numbers:

  • 93550 (KY-318B)
  • 96775 (KY-318A)
  • 98527 (6L-PC)

If you have one of these pressure cookers, immediately stop using it and contact ALDI or the manufacturer for a refund.

Why Are ALDI Pressure Cookers Being Recalled?

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s Recall Notice, the ALDI pressure cookers are being recalled due to a defect that allows the unit’s lid to be opened before enough steam pressure has been released, which can cause severe burns.

To date, there have been 11 reported incidents of these cookers ejecting their hot contents while under pressure, which resulted in eight cases of severe burn injuries.

What Should I Do If I Own a Recalled ALDI Pressure Cooker?

If you own or have one of the recalled ALDI pressure cookers, you should immediately stop using it and contact ALDI or the manufacturer, Tempo, for a refund.

You can return the pressure cooker to any ALDI location or send a photo of the pressure cooker with an unplugged electrical cord that has been cut, along with an image showing the model number and date code, to Tempo at [email protected].

Customers may contact ALDI and the manufacturer with questions about the recalled pressure cookers by calling (800) 325-7894, visiting https://help.ALDI.us/contact-form-product, or emailing [email protected].

What Should I Do If An ALDI Pressure Cooker Has Injured Me?

If you have been injured by an ALDI pressure cooker or another defective product, you should promptly consult an experienced product liability lawyer. You may be entitled to recover compensation for your economic and non-economic damages, including medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, emotional distress, and other tangible and intangible losses.
