The Meyers & Flowers team is excited to share the news of Marisa Markus joining the firm! Marisa received her bachelor’s and master’s degree in criminal justice from St. Thomas University. After graduating, Marisa pursed a career in the legal field, working as a Legal Assistant gaining experience in various practice areas.
Since being brought on to the team, Marisa has hit the ground running working in our mass tort and personal injury departments. Specifically, she has been assisting attorneys Peter Flowers and Michael Lenert in the local distribution of the historic $26 billion nationwide opioid settlement to the Illinois counties devastated by the opioid epidemic. Additionally, she is helping our clients regarding matters of the Syngenta corn litigation and Round-Up cases.

What do you like to do when you are not working? Going to sporting events and get together with family.
Where is your favorite place in the world? I haven’t traveled very much, but Lake Tahoe so far.
