Daniel Konicek is Of Counsel and brings more than 30 years of courtroom experience handling complex, high-stakes litigation on behalf of individuals, families, and businesses. His practice focuses on professional liability, commercial litigation, and serious personal injury matters, including wrongful death.
Mr. Konicek has tried more than 100 cases to jury verdict in state and federal courts, with trial experience throughout Illinois and in jurisdictions including Colorado and Wisconsin. His cases have involved medical malpractice, professional negligence, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, product liability, and complex business disputes. His extensive experience trying cases from both plaintiff and defense perspectives gives him unique insight into how complex cases are evaluated, litigated, and resolved.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Konicek has achieved numerous significant verdicts and settlements for his clients, including an $18 million professional liability settlement, a $10.5 million medical malpractice jury verdict, and a record-setting $5.7 million verdict in Whiteside County involving a closely held business dispute. He has also successfully defended professionals facing high-exposure claims in state and federal courts.
In addition to jury trials, Mr. Konicek represents clients in administrative proceedings before the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission and the Department of Professional Regulation.
Mr. Konicek is admitted to practice before Illinois state courts, multiple U.S. District Courts, several U.S. Courts of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
He has been recognized for his trial work and professional achievements with numerous honors, including membership in the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, designation as an Illinois Super Lawyer, and recognition by the Illinois Jury Verdict Reporter.
