Meyers & Flowers Attorneys Installed in Bar Association Positions
Please join us in congratulating attorneys Ryan P. Theriault, Gregory H. Booth, and Thomas M. Connelly, who recently assumed their elected roles for various Illinois bar associations.
Meyers & Flowers is pleased to announce Partner Ryan Theriault has assumed his position as the 2nd Vice President for the Illinois Bar Foundation. Ryan has served on the Illinois Bar Foundation Board since 2018, accepting appointments to the Lawyers Care Committee, the Fellows Advisory Committee, Co-Chairing their annual Lawyers Rock concert fundraiser, as well as serving as the 3rd Vice President this past year.
The mission of the Illinois Bar is to ensure meaningful access to the justice system, especially for those with limited means, and to assist lawyers who can no longer support themselves due to incapacity. With the vision to be the statewide leader in advancing equal justice, the Foundation seeks to enhance the availability of legal aid to those of limited means, encourage pro-bono legal work, educate Illinois residents regarding their rights and responsibilities under the law, and extend assistance to colleagues in need of support.
Partner Gregory Booth was sworn in as the Chairman of the Workers’ Compensation Committee of the Kane County Bar Association. Greg will be responsible for helping coordinate various continued legal education opportunities for attorneys in Kane County, in addition to moderating the 2022 Workers’ Compensation Seminar. Greg has been a member of the KCBA for 10 years.
The Workers’ Compensation Committee provides information regarding changes in the statute and the case law in the area of workers’ compensation, in addition to keeping members apprised of changes within the Illinois Workers’ Compensation commission.
Since its establishment more than a century ago, the Kane County Bar Association works as a professional organization for those in the legal community striving to uphold the dignity and honor of the profession by providing community resources and online education for continued learning.
Associate Attorney Thomas Connelly was recently installed as a member of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division Council. Over his term, Tom will serve on the council with the goal of serving as a resource for young lawyers practicing in Illinois to assist in further developing, enhancing, and fostering a balanced professional life. The Young Lawyers Division consists of all ISBA members under the age of 37 and members admitted to practice under 7 years.
