peter j flowers featured speaker at mass tort litigation conference
With an agenda focused on medical mass tort litigation, Peter J. Flowers, a partner at Meyers & Flowers, will be a featured panelist at the American Association for Justice’s (AAJ) Hot Topics in Mass Tort Litigation on January 25, 2017, in Miami, Florida.
Part of the AAJ Education Hot Topics conference series, Mr. Flowers joins his peers to address how the recent Stryker Lfit™ V40 Femoral Head Implants litigation will compare to other metal-on-metal hip implant litigation and mass tort cases. He also is speaking on the Stryker Rejuvenate Settlement Updates panel to discuss settlement administration, lien resolution, and second settlement specifics.
Mr. Flowers and the Meyers & Flowers team have extensive expertise in defective metal-on-metal hip replacement litigation and have spent decades representing the rights of those injured by defective medical devices.
Currently, Mr. Flowers serves as the Multidistrict Litigation Plaintiffs’ Lead Counsel Committee Chair for thousands of plaintiffs involved in multidistrict product liability litigation against Stryker Corporation and Howmedica Osteonics Corp. for complications involving the defective Stryker Modular Rejuvenate and ABG II Femoral Hip Implants. His work on the committee led to a global medical device settlement with an unlimited compensation fund for the victims of the defective hip implants.
