Failure to Diagnose Hip Dysplasia at Birth Leads to Significant Settlement

The birth of a young girl who suffered from a condition known as bilateral developmental dysplasia of the hips prompted a lawsuit against several doctors and a suburban Chicago medical facility.

Attorneys Peter Flowers and Craig Brown represented the girl’s mother in the case, which claimed the medical professionals involved failed to diagnose the child as having DDH, a genetic disorder which causes a young child’s hip to fail to properly develop.

With experience in such cases, Flowers and Brown became involved early, and were able to secure a significant settlement shortly before a scheduled trial date.

This is one example of settlements obtained by Flowers and Brown in hip dysplasia cases. This case was filed in Cook County under case number 99L12237.
